Mail Call!

Mail has been happy lately and I have forgotten to report it. Yesterday my pink ribbon lapel pin came, then today...the Target Sampler I requested and my Swiffer Duster starter kit from Vocalpoint! Yay! I had just emailed them the other day when I got the email requesting my review because it hadn't come and then it popped up today. So it is time to clean the ceiling fan and some other stuff to see how the Swiffer Duster compares to my trusty old Pledge duster. I am excited to find out. :)

BzzAgent - Burt's Bees® Natural Skin Solutions Sensitive Skin Solutions

I have been using the Burt's Bees® Natural Skin Solutions Sensitive Skin Solutions products that I was sent through BzzAgent nearly daily for almost a month now. (Yes, I have skipped a day or two here or there out of sheer exhaustion.) This is my report:

I am still in love with the product because my face is not greasy or oily or dry. The natural ingredients are very appealing and indeed do not cause any redness or irritation for me. Once when I used the cleanser right after getting out of the shower I felt some tingling, but I think that was because I had just gotten out of a hot shower and my pores were dilated so more of the product was getting in and doing what it is meant to do - CLEAN! Even though I did feel some tingling, my skin was not red or irritated and felt fine after rinsing and applying the moisturizer.

Since I am somewhat acne prone, I look for products that will reduce this tendency. Being a sensitive skin product with natural ingredients, I was not looking for the Burt's Bees line to do that, but I have noticed that my face seems to have not broken out as much since I started using it. Because of all this, I continue to be happy with the product and will continue to spread the word!

Land-O-Lakes recipe book

Got the mail today and there was my Land-O-Lakes Little Joys holiday treat book! I love it just from looking at it, and I absolutely cannot wait to make the Eggnog Snowflakes (this link is the Gluten-free version that I may try making instead of the regular ones). I will surely take pictures when they get made!

Day 1 - Burt's Bees® Natural Skin Solutions Sensitive Skin Solutions

Nothing official yet, just a few notes about the Burt's Bees® Natural Skin Solutions Sensitive Skin Solutions products. 

Both the cleanser and the moisturizer are very creamy and smooth. The cleanser doesn't foam so if you normally use something that foams, this will take some time to get used to. Personally, I normally use a scrub, so getting used to something so creamy and smooth is not the easiest. The great thing is that this cleanser makes it easier by not being sticky or greasy or having any harsh ingredients. No tingle, no burn, no redness or itching and my skin does indeed feel clean! Also, the cleanser does not make my dry skin even drier like other cleansers I have tried.

As for the moisturizer, it does not take a lot to cover the face and neck. It is not heavy or greasy, which is a big complaint about moisturizers. With my dry skin this soaks in fast, but I still don’t feel the need to slather even more on since this moisturizer makes that scaly feeling go away! 

Surprisingly, my skin feels softer just after using these products twice and I don’t feel any breakouts coming on. I am excited to use them more during the month and give a final opinion!

CVS - My trip today

Ok, so today didn't start out all that great since I have been sick with the sinus stuff and I couldn't talk at first. Now, I can talk and the day turned out great! This is my haul from CVS...

I only went in to get a bag of Huggies and the EverSleek stuff, but then the magic machine printed me a $4 off 2 CVS Supreme diapers. So being the brilliant one I am, I got 2 bags since they are B1G50% off this week. I had coupons for the EverSleek and the Huggies, plus some ECB from last week and a $5 off $25 that just came in my email today, so this turned into bigger savings than I was expecting!

Total damage at CVS today: $14.91
Savings today: $33.00
ECB earned: $7.00 ($5 for buying 2 EverSleek, $1 for Huggies, and $1 for my bag tag!)

Plus, I am only one more bag away from another FREE bag of Huggies.Did I mention that I really, really like CVS?!
